How to select and change color using color range tool

 Changing color using color range tool

The Replace Color command in Photoshop Create effects by allowing switching one set of colors for another. It builds a mask, with colors you select, and then replaces the selected colors along with others that you specify. You can adjust hue, saturation, and lightness of the masked colors.

Here we starting our tutorial for changing color using color range option in a Photoshop-


Step 1: Open image and add new layer on the layer panel

Step 2: Go to select > color range > select sample color-first

Step 3: Then add color range with (+eyedropper) and make the portion selection

Step 4: Next see the selection is ready

Step 5: Go to layer > new adjustment layer > Hue/saturation

Step 6: Adjust the hue to select color, drag saturation for the depth of color

Step 7: Then again go to select > color range > select red color as sample color

Step 8: Use (+eyedropper) to add the same color as well

Step 9: After selection same way go to new adjustment layer to hue/ saturation to change the red color as a same time same pattern

How To do Alpha Channel Masking In Photoshop to Remove Background with 14 Steps

We understand by Channels as "containers" for storing information in Photoshop. These are two types - color and selection. We can use 24 of them in our Image.On the other hand, Masks are like cover that protects particular parts of an image. These are also two kinds - temporary (quick masks) and permanent (alpha channels)

Together we can use Channel Mask to Isolate hair & fur photos from the background. Photo masking works better than clipping path technique. We can edit & transform the image to our preferred taste in terms of color, brightness, exposure, etc.

Alpha Channel mask is also a mask similar to channel mask. We can rather say, Alpha Channel Mask is far easiest than layer masking. Because doing layer mask is far critical than the channel mask and time-consuming. But it’s noticeable that people always chose layer mask for removing the background. It’s because layer mask is perfect to do masking or cover on an object to dethatch background

We should remember that for channel mask object background should have solid or one color background. Where layer mask is preferable for any portrait background where we can apply masking to remove background

Now we can see the output after doing channel mask on an image

Tools that used for this tutorial are-

Channel-mask-Steps

Step 1: Open Image on the layer background and select channel layer on the layer panel or we can bring channel from the window on the menu bar

Step 2: We have to compare between Red, Green, and Blue to identify which channel is more darken or blackish

Step 3: We select Blue channel as a darken image to edit with channel masking

Step 4: Copy Blue channel as Blue copy layer

Step 5: Select Blue copy layer and go Image > adjustment > Level

Step 6: Adjust level and fix output level- 74, input level-237 to convert the object darkest

Step 7: Take magic wound tool/quick selection tool to catch the object outline

Step 8: We can use lasso tool to minimize object area which already selected but must delete the area with pressing ALT

Step 9: Press (Alt+ backspace) to apply black color on the selected area which is applied on foreground color

Step 10: Now take black color as brush tool to remove extra faded area for perfect masking

Step 11: Once again select white color brush to remove unwanted black sheds around the object

Step 12: Select Blue copy channel along with pressing Ctrl to active the object outline perfectly

Step 13: Go to layer background and press Add a mask icon on under the layer panel

Step 14: Select new mask box and go to windows on the menu bar > Properties > Invert

Step 15: Quick after selecting the invert, object will appear on the transport background

Now Background Removed we can use any background like Our previous Article Layer Masking.
It is the easy way to Remove Background for Hair/ Woolen Related Images. To do Alpha channel in photoshop, we must be concern about the color of background like Solid or Almost Solid.
