CMYK – Cyan, magenta, yellow and black


CMYK  stands for (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) is a low cost effective color model. This color model exactly diverse from an additive color model RGB. It use for all printed related systems

RGB – Red, green and blue


RGB  stands for Red, Green, and Blue and is an additive color model. What this means is that this color model is based on adding and mixing light – when you add Red, Green, and Blue light together, you create a pure white.RGB mainly uses for monitor or web related images

While CMYK and RGB are two of the most famous color models that are used, there are many differences between this two

CMYK is a four-color mode that include the colors cyan, magenta, yellow and black in various amounts to build all of the compulsory colors when print photoes. It is a subtractive process, implication each additional exclusive color require extra brightness is detached or captivated, to generate colors. When the primary three colors are extra together, the consequence is not pure black, but rather a very dark brown. The K color, or black, is used to totally take away light from the printed image, which is why the eye perceives the color as black.

RGB is the color system that is mainly often connected with electronic displays, such as CRT, LCD monitors, digital cameras and scanners. Contrary to the CMYK method, RGB is an additive type of color mode that combine the primary colors, red, green and blue, in varying levels, to generate a diversity of different colors. When all three colors are joint and display to their full extent, the outcome is a pure white. When all three colors are united to the lowly degree, or rate, the effect is black. Software such as photo editing program employ the RGB color mode since it offer the widest variety of colors.

Uses of CMYK & RGB


CMYK is the prime color model worn by color printer. All printed media, like flyers, posters and signs, are printed in CMYK, which refers that photos supplied must be in CMYK to keep best quality as possible. There are countless RGB colors that CMYK printers cannot imitate. It is forever a good idea to converse printer if have any queries about settings or things might need to do to the file previous to them.


RGB is the distinctive color model worn on electronic devices such as computer. When there need to draw any design that is going to be view electronically, like website we supposed to set that image mode to RGB.
