With Photoshop you can do anything with such filters. There are two variations in that; one is how to shift the model to a dissimilar transparent background and another one is how to change the background of the portrait but keeping the thought as equivalent.
Step: open image and select model outline with a quick selection tool
Step: change smoothness of the outline so that it shows a smooth edge of a model
Step: select the layer and click add layer mask from the layer panel
