How to Make Colorize Photo From Grayscale Effect with Photoshop

Digital photo restoration has complete it possible to renew black and white photographs that are almost certainly collect dust in your storeroom.Over the years, your faded photographs degrades through a diversity of ways like desertion, cracking, and crease.




Fortunately,quite a few advancement has been made which not only restore the old photographs but also protect them for your future generation. In this tutorial, I’ll share some of Photoshop techniques and few steps to converting black and white photos for back to life.


Here i am starting my tutorial for converting a colorize image from black and white photograph-


Step 1: Open the grayscale image and add a new layer on the layer panel to select the shirt area with quick selection tool




Step 2: After posting the color on the selected area on layer 1 chose multiply blending option




Step 3: Now we can see the multiplying shirt color over the layer 1 to be perfect colorize




Step 4: Again add a new layer on the layer panel and select only the face area with quick selection tool ; paste a skin color pick from another tab of skin sample




Step 5: After selecting the layer blend the applied color as color from the layer panel




Step 6: On layer 2 , add a layer mask to bring back the original color of eye and lips




Step 7: Paste with brush tool black and white foreground and background color to masking return to original layer




Step 8: Add a new layer again and paste a red color on the lips a lipstick and change the blending mode on multiply




Step 9: For adjusting hair void need to paste with exact same color of the hair on layer 4




Step 10: If there is any displacement of color for the body create another layer and adjust body color all over the area and obviously make sure to name individually all the payers




Step 11: Create a background new layer and select the object area to active only background 
surroundings by making inverse the selection




Step 12: Soon after selection the area add a adjustment layer with solid color




Step 13: Select any specific color for the background




Step 14: Change the blending mode on color




Step 15: Now after we customize the blending mode we have to lower the opacity level to give it natural look
