Factors to restore the old photograph
On the earlier days, people don’t have the luxury to save all the photographs on memory cards or store them up on a computer. Then people needed to develop all the photos, had to print and tuck them on safely into their photo albums. Ensuring the memories of each photo can be exist about so long
Unfortunately, printed photographs don’t last eternally since the excellence of the photo paper and the ink they used back then isn’t as high-quality as the quality of what we use now.
Thankfully, restoring an old photographs isn’t hard at all. You just have to identify how to do the process
Digitize your old photo
The first step is to examine the photo to get a digital copy. You can exploit a regular photo scanner, take a photo with a digital camera or use scanner app on any Smartphone. Whichever technique you employ, make sure that it will consent a large, high-quality duplicate of the photograph to create it easier to work with.
Crop, straighten, or rotate the image
If there’s any kind of space that shouldn’t be there around the edges, you can easily crop all of that
Apply a filter to reduce noise
There is lot of dust and scratches over the image of old version. You can’t delete all this unwanted noise by just one click. That’s why, you can use Photoshop filter function to reduce some unwanted noise
Fix the damaged spots
For fixing the damage spots need an eye with lot of patience for details to use some spot correction tools like Spot Healing Brush, the Patch Tool, and the Clone Stamp. This part is quite tricky to do the edit
Make color correction adjustments
Old photos are usually pale, but if we want to get better the tone, color, contrast, and overall vibrancy of the photograph, we can do it with Photoshop
If we choose an image from taskbar, we can see a drop-down menu that delivers everything you need for some basic color correction. We can choose specific alter color by Auto Tone, Auto Contrast, and Auto Color. First try this color for automatic correction of the photograph with desired effect. For more perfection you can do all the correction manually.
Save the newly restored image
After finishing edit, if you satisfied with the edit, delete the unedited layer
